When you find passion at a young age, you’re almost meant to burnout, and that was especially true for the baker, writer, and dreamer Jarid Altmark. With a decade of experience as a cake artist, Jarid has traveled the United States teaching the craft of cake decorating and judging the most prestigious cake competitions in the country. When he has no motivation to succeed, you can find Jarid, well Bored and Baked— hence the name.

With time, Jarid hopes that sharing his love of baking will inspire others to overcome self doubt in the flow of creation, connect with themselves and ultimately others to munch on all the sweets and eats you can imagine. Boredom has the power to consume you, but if you step back and intentionally create through it, you’re bound to stumble upon the joys being Bored and Baked.
